Master of Family Therapy (MFT), LAMFT
Supervised by Carina Lehman, LPC
PA Lic: AMF000035
Marriage & Family Therapist
Courtney Stauffer, LAMFT, is a Licensed Associate Marriage and Family Therapist at Positive Intentions, LLC. She works with couples who feel stuck in the same arguments, emotionally disconnected, or unsure how to get back to feeling like a team. Courtney’s style is warm, grounded, and structured — helping both partners feel heard while building clear, practical steps toward change. In couples work, she doesn’t take sides; she helps you identify the cycle and change it.
Many couples come in feeling more like roommates than partners — worn down by stress, parenting demands, busy schedules, resentment, or years of miscommunication. Courtney helps partners slow down reactivity, rebuild emotional safety, strengthen repair conversations, and create more consistent connections at home. Her approach is systemic and relational: focused on patterns, reducing shame, and improving how you respond to each other when emotions run high.
Courtney also supports couples who want to strengthen closeness and affection over time, and she has additional training in intimacy-focused work (including sex therapy) when that’s relevant. You set the pace — therapy does not require explicit details to be effective.
Telehealth only. Weekday and evening availability.
Focus Areas:
Couples counseling, communication, and repair; recurring conflict cycles; emotional connection; boundaries; family systems; rebuilding trust; life transitions; Ethical Non-Monogamy (ENM), and Kink/BDSM-affirming therapy (as appropriate).
