Cindy Pilcher, M.S., LPC, NCC, is the CEO of Positive Intentions, LLC—an award-winning mental-health practice, Poconos Community Choice 2025 winner for Best Mental-Health Provider—where she pairs clinical excellence with values-driven leadership to deliver ethical, evidence-based, and compassionate care. She leads a growing in-person team serving children, teens, adults, couples, and families, and advances the field through high-quality supervision, community partnerships, and client-first standards.

Cindy Pilcher is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and National Certified Counselor (NCC) with a strong commitment to helping individuals and couples navigate life’s challenges, heal from trauma, and build healthier, more connected relationships. She is IFS-trained (Internal Family Systems) and specializes in relationship concerns, including boundary-setting, communication breakdowns, conflict resolution, attachment wounds, and rebuilding trust.
As the founder and CEO of Positive Intentions, LLC, Cindy built a thriving counseling practice rooted in compassionate, client-centered care. Her approach is integrative and evidence-informed, blending modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), strength-based and humanistic frameworks, and other tailored interventions to meet each client’s goals and needs.
Cindy’s clinical background includes work across private practice, community mental health, residential care, and long-term care settings. She has extensive experience supporting clients experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, substance use disorders, and life transitions, and she brings strong skills in assessment, crisis intervention, and collaborative treatment planning.
In addition to her clinical work, Cindy serves as a social services consultant for behavioral and nursing care centers, supporting quality care planning, facilitating discharges, and ensuring compliance with federal regulations. Her professional experience also includes leadership roles, case management, vocational counseling, and research contributions related to intimate partner violence, addiction, and special populations in treatment.
Cindy earned her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Lock Haven University and her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology (with concentrations in Counseling, Social Work, and Sociology) from East Stroudsburg University, graduating Summa Cum Laude. She is licensed in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Vermont, and is certified through the National Board for Certified Counselors.
Outside the therapy room, Cindy values ongoing learning, community engagement, and living her core values of empathy, empowerment, and resilience—bringing those same principles into her work with every client she serves.
