The Visionary
Positive Intentions, LLC was not built to be another therapy practice that simply checks boxes. Cindy Pilcher founded the practice because she believed mental health care could be better—more ethical, more intentional, more human, and more effective.
Her vision was to create a place where clients feel truly supported from the first contact, and where clinicians are not left to figure it out alone. Positive Intentions, LLC is built on high standards, honest clinical work, ongoing training, and the belief that therapy should actually help people create meaningful change.

Cindy Pilcher, MS, LPC, NCC, is the Founder and CEO of Positive Intentions, LLC, an award-winning mental health counseling boutique serving Pennsylvania and New Jersey. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor and National Certified Counselor who is passionate about helping adults navigate anxiety, trauma, relationship challenges, major life transitions, and the parts of themselves they have learned to hide, silence, or carry alone.

Cindy's path into the mental health field was anything but traditional. After spending years in the ophthalmic industry, she decided to pursue her passion for helping others and entered the counseling profession in 2018. That experience shaped her belief that growth is always possible and that meaningful change can happen at any stage of life.

Known for her direct yet compassionate approach, Cindy creates a counseling experience that is authentic, collaborative, and tailored to the individual sitting across from her. She is IFS-informed (Internal Family Systems) and integrates evidence-based approaches, including CBT, somatic interventions, and parts work, to help clients better understand themselves, heal from past experiences, and create lasting change. Rather than focusing solely on symptom reduction, Cindy helps clients build deeper self-awareness, strengthen relationships, establish healthy boundaries, and reconnect with the life they want to live.

While Cindy works with a variety of concerns, she is particularly passionate about supporting individuals navigating trauma, anxiety, relationship difficulties, attachment wounds, self-worth concerns, and major life transitions. She is known for helping clients move beyond simply surviving and toward living with greater confidence, clarity, and intention.

In addition to providing counseling services, Cindy leads Positive Intentions, LLC with a commitment to ethical practice, personalized care, and ongoing professional development. She believes that therapy should feel human, approachable, and effective—not like checking boxes or sitting through the same conversation week after week.

Cindy earned her Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Lock Haven University and her Bachelor's degree in Psychology from East Stroudsburg University, graduating Summa Cum Laude. She is licensed in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Vermont and holds certification through the National Board for Certified Counselors.

When she's not working with clients or leading the practice, Cindy enjoys spending time with her family, traveling abroad, continuing her professional growth, and finding new ways to challenge the traditional therapy experience.
Therapy, reimagined...indoors & out.
